WebBank Import/Export Capabilities

WebBank offers options for importing from several different sources. Imports are added to the open Bank, if present, or to a new Bank which will be created if necessary. Possible sources are:

• WebBank Bank
• WebBank Export File
• Internet Explorer "Favorites"
• Netscape Navigator "Bookmarks"

WebBank can export entries using several different selection options:

Entries can be exported in five formats:

• Clipboard: The exported entries are placed on the Windows clipboard from which they can be "pasted" into another application.
• File: The exported entries are written to a text file in comma-separated format which can be imported into WebBank or into many other applications which will accept this format. When this mode is selected, a dialog will appear and allow you to establish a destination folder and filename.
• Bank (Version 1): The exported entries are written to a Bank file. When this mode is selected, a dialog will appear and allow you to establish a destination folder and filename.
• Bank (Version 2): The exported entries are written to a Bank file. When this mode is selected, a dialog will appear and allow you to establish a destination folder and filename.
• Bookmark: The exported entries are written to an HTML file in the format of "Bookmark.htm". The resulting file is compatible with Netscape Navigator and may also be imported into Microsoft Internet Explorer. When this mode is selected, a dialog will appear and allow you to establish a destination folder and filename.
• HTML: The exported entries are written to HTML files, with a file for each Category 1 entry and its sub Categories. Each file will be named as close as possible to the Category 1 it contains. When this mode is selected, a dialog will appear when the first file is being created and allow you to establish a destination folder for the HTML files. An index file (INDEX.HTM) is also created which links each Category 1 to the file that contains its Entries.
