WebBank offers some special capabilities to help you effectively use your URL collections.
You may identify entries which have duplicate URLs. Duplication can be determined by using the entire URL or only the domain portion (the front portion of the URL up to the first "/" if it exists.) There is nothing invalid about duplicate URLs but it is important to recognize where they are truly redundant. Duplicates are presented for review in a scrolling form, on which you can select any that you wish to delete.
WebBank provides the capability to test large groups of Web page URLs (starting with 'HTTP") to determine if they are valid. This functionality is much faster than trying to open them with a browser. The test can be based upon an optional selection of one to the entire list. Upon completion of the test, those that were accessible are marked with a "green light". You can now elect to repeat the test (based upon another selection of those to test), exit the test, or delete selected URLs from the Bank.
Note: Web pages that require specialized browser features such as passwords or secure protocol will fail this test. That only means that this test cannot support them; they may be completely valid.
You may specify up to 25 URLs to be launched every time WebBank is started. This may be helpful if you always work with the same entries.
